Technology Upgrades

In the world of sports, where everything is evolving rapidly, it’s crucial for our club to keep pace with the latest technology. Here are some of the exciting upgrades planned:

Kelsey’s Website Overhaul

Kelsey has been hard at work redesigning our website. The new layout is not only user-friendly but also visually appealing. This will make it easier for everyone to find what they need. Whether you are looking for information on upcoming matches or local gala days, the revamped site will streamline your experience. With an expected reduction in loading times by 40%, you will spend less time waiting and more time engaging with the information that matters.

Wix Collaboration

In addition to the website makeover, Kelsey is collaborating with Wix to address app issues. We expect that updates will enhance our online communications. Last year, we heard that over 30% of users had faced difficulties with app functionalities. With these changes, we aim to achieve a 90% satisfaction rate in user experience for online communications.

New Emails for Executives

Michael is busy creating new email accounts for our executive team using the Not-For-Profit Microsoft Suite. This will help ensure clearer and quicker responses to inquiries. With this change, we're looking to make sure that communication flows smoothly throughout our club.

Rhiannon's Facebook Update

Rhiannon is set to refresh our Facebook Back of house with updated information and even more engaging content. Expect to see regular posts covering club news, behind-the-scenes moments, and player highlights. These updates will not only keep our members informed but also aim to increase our page followers by at least 25% over the next year.

Mayfield's 2025 Calendar

Kelsey is creating a comprehensive 2025 calendar that will outline important dates for fixtures, training sessions, and events. This centralized calendar will promote better participation, as members can easily see what’s coming up and plan accordingly.

December Meeting and Monthly Check-Ins

Mark your calendars! Our next meeting is set for December 5th. After that, we will hold monthly meetings through March. Following that, we’ll transition to every six weeks until October. This schedule helps everyone stay informed without feeling overwhelmed, ensuring we can discuss progress, issues, and plans collectively.

Fees Update

Here’s some good news! After notification from Netball Australia, Netball NSW, and Newcastle Netball Association, that there will be some slight fee increases, Mayfield Netball Club will not be increasing fees for the upcoming year. This decision will enable us to keep our community strong and engaged, as we understand that maintaining affordable options is essential for our members.

Coaching Updates

We believe in empowering our coaches, and we’ve got essential updates to share:

Foundation Certification

All our coaches are required to complete a foundation certification and provide it to our Secretary along with their Working With Children Check. This is crucial for maintaining high coaching standards. The great news is that the Newcastle Netball Association will reimburse this certification cost. Furthermore, NNA are hosting a face-to-face course to make it easier for coaches to obtain their qualifications.

We’re actively looking for more coaches! If you are passionate about netball and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
